Special card for a lady who is 102 years old ...........

A friend asked me to make a special card for a lady who will be 102 years old in a few days time - well actually, she asked me to make a card for a lady who will be 103 years old - late last night she contacted me to apologise and say she'd got the years wrong and could I change the card?  Phyllis was a neighbour of my friend Norma and I when we lived next door to each other in the very early 50's, My friend and I meet up once a month with my sister and other girls we went to school with and catch up and talk about old times - great fun!!  We're meeting tonight for a meal so the card had to be ready to hand over.  I didn't have time to start again, so instead I made an oval plaque with revised text and mounted it on a scalloped oval die  - here is the original card in mid-make, I had printed the sentiment with the digital image
I had seen this digital lily image beautifully coloured by Andrea Tully and purchased one myself.  I coloured it with copics in pale pinks/pale lemon   I added 13mm pale pink 100% pure silk ribbon and some Charlotte Elizabeth white vintage style lace.  All of the edges were inked with 'gathered twigs' and I added a bit of sparkle with Stardust Stickles

I made a nice bow with 32mm pure silk pale pink ribbon topped with a 15mm pale pink pearl and diamante embellishment

My flower arrangement consists of a 30mm pale pink wild rose, pale pink and some white lily flowers and a sprig of tiny pearl clusters on a silver stem

Thanks for looking, see you soon,
Mary x

Beautiful card. I think I like the oval cover up better than the original sentiment.
